My name is Justus Hörberg. I am 23 years old and I am an aspiring and passionate game programmer currently studying at FutureGames.

My game dev journey started out in 2011, when I began using Game Maker to make silly platformers and try replicating many of the games I played at the time. In 2014, I attended LBS Kreativa Gymnasiet, a game dev high school in Stockholm, from which I graduated the programming course in 2017. For the following three years, I would proceed to hone my skills in Unity and C# to gain more intricate experience in game development, as well as learn some animation and modeling along the way. In 2020, I eventually applied for FutureGames where I would also gain experience in Unreal Engine  and C++.

I tend to be a very impressionable type of developer - what fuels me the most is the aspiration to "be like" the developers of the games I play and enjoy the most. This has resulted in many of my projects taking glaring inspiration from games like Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros., or No More Heroes, even down to the most peculiar of details, but also in understanding more or less what makes these games fun.

Ultimately, my core interest revolves around character movement and versatility - there is nothing I love more than experimenting, replicating and seeing what game mechanics I can implement, both fighting, platforming or otherwise, see what makes them fun, and which work in harmony with each other or not.
